I accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, debit cards, and FSA/HSA cards.
Therapy sessions are billed monthly at the start of the month. Weekly payment plans can be arranged. Evaluation sessions are paid in advance, to secure the appointment time.
Initial consultations are free. Daycare screenings are $20 per child.
Online evaluations are from $250 to $375, depending on the number and type of communication areas assessed. An evaluation's 'flat fee' covers administering the assessments to your child in a video session, interpretation of results, writing the report, and a follow-up mini session to review the results and discuss the recommended treatment.
Therapy sessions are $70 per 30- to 35-minute session. I recently checked my area for typical uninsured rates for therapy. The session rate at AnetSpeech is significantly less than the quoted $175 per session.
No Surprises Act
Beginning January 1, 2022, if you obtain health care via private pay, health care providers like me must provide you with an estimate of the expected charges before you get an item or service. This is called a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) and is part of legislation called the No Surprises Act.
My rates are listed above, but I will also affirm these rates to you during our consultation. For evaluations, I will refer to the above range, and then a narrower expected range for your child, based on the information gathered during the consultation. The actual invoice is sent to you ahead of the evaluation, and is fine-tuned based on the intake paperwork you complete prior to the invoice, since the intake can also reveal additional areas appropriate to evaluate.
For more information, please visit the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) website at www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Navigating insurance benefits can be confusing. Anetspeech is out-of-network for all insurances, but I do offer two specific supports to facilitate potential reimbursement from your insurance.
One support comes in the form of a pre-evaluation insurance worksheet.
The other support is an accurate 'superbill' receipt to match the codes your specific insurance coverage requires.
Keep in mind, even for in-network speech therapy, some insurances require you to pay an out-of-pocket copay that may be equal to paying my private pay rate. So you'd pay the same in this scenario for in or out of network. But in network may be limited to therapists without specialization in Speech Sound Disorders. Also, some insurance contract deductibles can add up to more than what you might pay anyway for therapy at AnetSpeech out of pocket.
Don't be put off by the words 'private pay'. Instead, find out for sure what your insurance covers. And remember, it's often worth paying outside the network for a therapist specializing in Speech Sound Disorders, who isn't bound by limited numbers of sessions that insurances often dictate, regardless of the real need of the client.
